As I was talking to a potential client the other day, one of the things that stood out in our conversation was when he asked if SEO is dead?
My reply to him was simple.
You found us organically on Google didn’t you?
I have heard the phrase “SEO is Dead” for several years now, but it couldn’t be farther from the truth.
Fact is, SEO is not dead and it still continues to drive traffic and incoming roofing leads to our clients on a daily basis.
High visibility in Google Maps and Google Organic searches can be one of the most effective and best ways to generate roofing leads.
But… you have to be well positioned in order for it to work. Period.
And that’s where the caveat is. Prime positioning is essential.
Especially when you consider that for pretty much every single roofing search in Google, there are only 4-5 local roofing companies organically on the first page.
The rest is taken up by directories and sites like BBB, Yelp, HomeAdvisor, YP or a few others.
When you ad in 3 spots for Maps, that’s only 7-8 spots open.
Now you could certainly increase your exposure by buying Adwords, but that gets VERY costly in a hurry and most companies blow through their monthly budget in 2 weeks or less.
Does it make sense to only advertise for 10-14 days out of the month due to budget concerns?
